The Long Blondes

Zodiac saw The Long Blondes getting involved with an Oxford crowd and they loved it. Hot sweaty female guitarists in nautical stripes were belting out just about over average tunes. All in all an acceptable gig, not sure they will ever get beyond this though.

Alphabeat

Saw Alphabeat last Sunday at the Zodiac - probably the campest euro-pop band on the circuit at the moment.
Not sure they were Tim or Helen's favourite band of the year... but Kunal loved 'em.

David Cronenbergs Wife

Not bad, probably better in my head than they were in real life.
Always good to have a chill out session at the Bully.

Stornoway + You and Me

Pretty damn good. You and Me appeared to have an actor from the Office in the band singing and Stornoway had their own human fact generator.

Foxes! + Bordeville Duo

Another gig at the Cellar, another appearance by Foxes! - it never gets old.
Swarbrick and Woodhouse from Bordville were surprisingly good as well playing an acoustic set... laptops may just replace drummers in the future.

Equitruck 3

Hosted by the Jericho Tavern and featuring a lot of good bands such as Frank Turner, Witches, Morrisson Steam Fayre, and others I've forgotten. Nevermind. oh, and Family Machine.

Supergrass

In Oxford's lovely town hall. Not bad, there were christmas lights and trees to look at too.

Borderville + Stornoway + Little Fish

A surprisingly good night at the Jericho Tavern. Would have been better if baby Swarbrick had descended from above with a small guitar and dark sunglasses for Borderville's encore.
