The Dead 60s + The Quarter Finals

Second time I've seen The Dead 60s at the Zodiac and the first time they were supported by a little known group called the Kooks. This time its The Quarter Finals and if there is any justice in the world they should follow in The Kooks' footsteps hitting the bigtime.
As for the gig it was pretty good, lots of old songs mixed in with new material from the 60s and the crowd seemed to love the ska/rock atmosphere.
The night was made extra special by the fact that the manager of The Quarter Finals gave me a free CD with 3 of their songs on it. Bloody brilliant.

Joan As Policewoman

Charlie Hobson quote - 'That was a proper gig'

Completely agree. A different type of gig for a different type of sound. I also got a badge for £1. Jackpot. All the people who visit this blog should go and listen to Joan... which I think is just one person. Hello Catpee! x

Little Man Tate

Absolutely Fucking Amazing!
Best gig I've been to in Zodiac for ages (however could be short lived with Joan As Policewoman on Monday). Took part in a stage invasion, as did 88% of the audience, resulting in a loss of microphone for the singer so he ended the gig singing without it which actually worked brilliantly. He also explained a striking association between pulling and sunday league footballers, which actually made a lot of sense.

Hobson gig watch: Where was he?
