Borderville + Stornoway + Little Fish

A surprisingly good night at the Jericho Tavern. Would have been better if baby Swarbrick had descended from above with a small guitar and dark sunglasses for Borderville's encore.

Family Machine + Foxes!

Are Foxes! the same without Foxes! Dan? The short answer is no. Without the fashionable glasses and big hair Foxes! turned in what could be described as an 'ordinary' gig at the famous Wheatsheaf compared to the prior exploits of the band who are now residing in Brighton.
This was made worse by the storming performance of Family Machine, who turned out an end of the world type performance. They promised the crowd a special guest, but none materialised, instead they walked off stage after their last song and headed straight to the bar. Now that's rock and roll.

Pigeon Detectives at Zodiac... Again.

No Pigeons. No Detectives (to my knowledge). All good music.

The Epstein

Oxfords favourite indie-country darlings at the Zodiac. They had two guest trumpet players, so that enough to persuade me to offer them the thumbs-up.
